Kept getting hung up on the streaming (or whatever it is that youtube does)...it would take forever to watch the whole thing. Maybe someone else can help you. But I tried.

It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights......for the most sensational, inspirational, ......muppet show (on prozac) .....tonight.

Haven't been around for a while but have missed you all.

The Avalanches are a group of Australian DJs. They made a record in 2000 called "Since I Left You". It's *totally* sample-driven, totally crafted out of samples from records scored at thrift shops, record shops, flea markets and so on. The main vocal samples are from an old Columbia comedy album whose name escapes me, but the source track is also called "Frontier Psychiatrist". In these days of the DMCA an album like this probably would not be possible again. It's a fun listen though!

Thanks, all.
Hi, Paperdoll.
It is a very catchy tune. eMusic has the album, Since I Left You, for like 5 or 6 bucks, so I downloaded it. Catchy stuff, especially for it being a mix of 3500 samples all patched and looped together. Very impressive. I used to do something similar as a kid, but it was with cassettes and LPs (a la Ray Stevens).

But that video is... well... hilarious! Would love to do it as a skit with our whole department. Just imagine...
