(That is, if I'm interpreting that statement in the way that you meant it.) I wish blog popularity had some personal financial benefit. It most certainly has personal benefit - so from that stance, it does do us good. I think a lot of us find it exciting when we see that other people are taking an interest in reading what it is we have to say. And from that, we do have some sort of personal emotional benefit.

But what I really meant was - wouldn't it be great if blog popularity meant I could quit my day job and just stay home and write all day long?

:)NeoNurseChichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16120931307124798416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26666124.post-1162486527169921282006-11-02T11:55:00.000-05:002006-11-02T11:55:00.000-05:00It was crazy... the brain recipe got on boingboing...It was crazy... the brain recipe got on boingboing and it brought about 2000 people a day for a couple days. too bad it doesn't do me any good ;)Steve Higginshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11823532816789489806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26666124.post-1162477504505203912006-11-02T09:25:00.000-05:002006-11-02T09:25:00.000-05:00Oh oops again. Clustermap counts my visits, but sitemeter blocks my IP address, so the only time I'm ever included in my own sitemeter is when I occasionally visit my site from the university library. So, without my own visits, I have 8,176. :) (Does that speak poorly of me that I've visited my own site over 3000 times? haha)NeoNurseChichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16120931307124798416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26666124.post-1162476963007514222006-11-02T09:16:00.000-05:002006-11-02T09:16:00.000-05:00Ohhhhh I see!! I didn't start counting visitors until a couple of months into my blog because I didn't know how to do any of that stuff!

Cheers! :)NeoNurseChichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16120931307124798416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26666124.post-1162476930633223422006-11-02T09:15:00.000-05:002006-11-02T09:15:00.000-05:00If that's 10,000 total hits we're at, then I'm 9,...If that's 10,000 total hits we're at, then I'm 9,920 of them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26666124.post-1162438610587929022006-11-01T22:36:00.000-05:002006-11-01T22:36:00.000-05:00That's right Steve---way to use the OmniBrain. I think that's cool.

But for me...I don't have that drive. I just want to write what I write. I started it for me, afterall.

But I sometimes do wonder if I write about the wrong things if I only have like 70 readers a day whilst the rest of you are breaking huge numbers!

Congrats :)NeoNurseChichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16120931307124798416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26666124.post-1162352533594743482006-10-31T22:42:00.000-05:002006-10-31T22:42:00.000-05:00I prefer chocolate brains.Happy Halloween!I'm stuf...I prefer chocolate brains.

Happy Halloween!

I'm stuffed.

Oh by the way---we passed 10,000 readers this week.
